Seasons 1-8 will see shippers make bids for two of the shipments on the uShip website. This is an auction reverse style. Bids are typically accompanied by statements about the possible risk and cost and their motives and abilities. When the time period of an auction has expired, the job is typically awarded to the lowest bidder and at the discretion of the client however, it can be given to a bidder who has a greater average rating for feedback from previous clients. If the bidder is lowest, any ties will be broken by feedback ratings. In season 9, the shippers are given their loads by an agent for shipping, but bidding is not shown.Winners take their cargo to the port and try to get it delivered in a timely manner within the receiver's or client's deadline. Once the loads have been delivered, feedback scores are displayed from clients. The show concludes by calculating each shipper's revenues and expenses. The bid amount is subtracted in order to calculate the overall profit and loss. Sometimes, shippers decide to transport additional loads on the same journey. The money is added to the total. Sometimes the shipper may be in a position to not complete the task due to concerns regarding weight or size of the load, or road safety. On occasion, one shipper will enlist the services of a different person to assist in the completion of an assignment. The shippers decide how to split the proceeds. The advancement of each shipment is interrupted by humorous comments from other shippers in seasons 1-8.
