Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. She was born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 which makes her the second youngest winner in Oscar history. After an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter of a Scottish musician. Flora McGrath is the daughter of a muted Scottish musician who moved into New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. As a teenager, she moved to America. Paquin played Jane Eyre's protagonist as an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and the lead role for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 movie Amistad. The role she played was for teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
